Adam L. Woods is Co-Founder, Chief Investment Officer, and Senior Financial Advisor of Cedar Mountain Advisors, LLC.   Mr. Woods responsibilities include leading, facilitating and organizing the work of the firm’s investment management committee.  With 23 years of experience as a securities analyst, portfolio manager and professional advisor, he currently works to coordinate and direct the efforts of the firm’s other analysts and advisors in a collaborative team approach. 

Additionally, Adam provides specialized financial planning and advisory services to his corporate and individual clients.  These professional relationships span the scope of financial planning and wealth management services designed to meet the individual needs of his diverse client base. Mr. Woods’ goal is to be an advocate for his clients through education and consultation to develop personalized wealth management strategies.

Prior to co-founding Cedar Mountain Advisors, Adam served five years as Investment Specialist and Senior Financial Planner at New England Financial.  As an Investment Specialist, he was responsible for supervising and managing the firm’s investment and fee-based financial planning businesses, assisting in sophisticated joint casework, and providing advisor training.

Previously to joining New England, Adam served in the positions of Director of Research, and Portfolio Manager at the H Group, Inc.  His responsibilities included co-managing the firm’s discretionary portfolios, performing on-going institutional level analysis as well as advisor education. He began his investment career with Portland-based M/P Advisory, Inc. in 1993, where he began his investment career as a securities analyst. 

Adam graduated from Oregon State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.  Adam lives with Elizabeth his wife of 23 years and their two children Madeline and Samuel in Beaverton. He and his family enjoy many outdoor activities including spending time on their family’s century farm, which Adam and his brother Aaron now own.
